Stove to Table
We believe that cookware can be serveware, and that the ability to bring a meal directly from the kitchen to the table helps everyone enjoy the process of a home-cooked meal a little bit more. Each 267 Skillet Set comes with its own solid wood trivet and serving piece, making it the perfect centerpiece for easy stove to table presentation.
The set includes a beechwood trivet, the perfect tool for resting your hot skillet out of the way between cooking operations and when serving.
Integrated Serving Piece
The trivet is complemented by a matching beechwood serving piece that is shaped to nestle with the form of the skillet. The serving piece features an embedded magnet that secures it to the handle of the iron skillet.
The trivet and serving tool are constructed of solid beechwood and are coated with a food-safe mineral oil finish. Care instruction for wooden components can be found here.
Big Cooking Area / Low Weight
Our 267 Skillet has a cooking area of 9.25 inches and weights just under 5 pounds. By comparison the Lodge 12 inch skillet has a cooking area of 9.125 inches and weighs 8 pounds.
Smooth, but not too smooth
The cooking area of the skillet is machined smooth and then texturized to create a surface that bonds exceptionally well with the seasoning.
We've designed our 267 Skillet with an extra long handle to facilitate two-handed gripping. Our handle is 8 inches long, by comparison the Lodge 12 inch skillet’s handle is 4.875 inches, over 60% shorter.
The 267 Skillet is pre-seasoned with non-GMO cottonseed oil that is baked at a high temperature for thorough polymerization. The seasoning's non-stick performance improves over time with the addition of more oil. See our directions for use, care, and seasoning here.
