High Temperature Cooking
Cast Iron is great for high temperature cooking; it's high temp cooking performance is one of the reasons we love it so much. As with any cooking, care must be taken when using hot cast iron. It is important to always be aware that fixtures and cookware in the kitchen may be hot and to approach them with care. Here are a number of tips that will help you to stay safer in the kitchen:
Don't let your handles hang over the front of the stove.
Don't drop or rest things on the glass door of your oven.
Always keep hot pads handy.
Use trivets to rest hot pans and pots to avoid damaging your counters.
